Japanese Prepositions: うえ、した、うしろ、まえ、 and more

Japanese Prepositions: うえ、した、うしろ、まえ、 and more

I’ll meet you what’s up guys Sara here
with another video about Japanese prepositions are especially strange
you’re actually not so bad it’s just intimidating at first I’m
gonna clear everything up today with the help of my friend before we get into the
lesson I understand that a lot of you are going through college right now you
might not be as motivated as you were in the beginning so I’d like to start this
lesson with a few words of encouragement for you guys Hey, what are you doing!? You’re a college student, right?
You’re paying a ton of money. If you fail this class, it’d go to waste. Your mom and dad are working hard, so you should too! This is YOUR grade, so put your all into it! The echo in here is crazy. Okay but in all seriousness… I do want you to do well on this test that’s why
I’m here I’m here for all of you to encourage you to work with you to teach
you things that are too hard to understand in class I know you can do
this anyone can learn this language it just takes practice
you just have to work on it drill drill drill that’s what these videos are for
so if you have any other questions about this grammar please leave a comment
below if you want to see more videos like this please subscribe also my
cactus once you don’t like the video the first part of the grammar that I want to
discuss with you is place neat something got aadi month or emails for either of
these and I’ll also discuss how to make it into a question so Coco SoCo a so
called just for example these are some places so Coco here so go there a so
called way over there but we could change this for New York me home Africa
Dido Coral AHA but don’t you usually use dead for place to say that something is
at a place yes but in this case we’re making a statement we’re not saying
where the action occurred there is no action we’re
simply saying that something exists in a place let’s do a little practice with
this one how would you say there is a student here cocconi gonzaga emails or
cocconi say toga emails for the question we’re going to put Nani in front of the
guy on e Moscati Maas and we’re gonna add Cobb because this money takes the
place of the object it’s the filler so technically this is our object the what
so in that case how would you say what is here cocconi none you got re Muscat
the way I learned this grammar was with a really random sentence kukuda no home
blew up New York Unni a Nima’s tried to transfer my knowledge to you go go go
I’d like to move to another bit of grammar this is arguably the more
important grammar of this which is how to use prepositions so you two different
sentences here but before I go into them I do need to tell you guys this little
guy in Japanese is a sultan these two sentences have the same parts in them
however they’re arranged a little bit differently and I’d like to point out
this one has a guy well this one does not so when we have the wah it means the
focus of the sentence is the latter half so the table in Eleni is the more
important part when we have that wah gah is what brings out the subject of the
sentence so up here the important part is to supple them
table you know they need supple Tinga Ahriman so go a little more basic down
here so we have our table right and then the
No is I mean it’s possessive but you’re also thinking on the top of the table
there is a cactus or the cactus is on top of the table to be honest with you
you could just get rid of this and you’d have a grammatically correct sentence
tip it it all the way jnanam us all right let’s do some practice I’m gonna
put some objects on my table and you’re gonna tell me the prepositions so if you
haven’t studied all of the prepositions till nineteen acha so thought you know
buh buh buh then now is the time to pause the video and put those in your
mind okay okay alright let’s go I’m gonna arrange these items so that
you can give me a prepositional phrase to match the state of them just as a
side note I am using además for this because I’m not pretending it’s alive if
I were playing with a child then I would probably say amaz let’s start by saying
the book is under the cactus Sabatino Stanny
hunga además omoi sob what they’re not sunny animus the campus is to the right
of the book oh no me guinea Niko bazooka Reema’s
Niko basura home no me Guinea or ammas the cactus is to the left of the book home no hey daddy me supporting re mas
Sebata mwah oh no he daddy knee area mas okay now let’s say the cactus is in
front of the cat bus Nicole vaasana’ my knee Capote Angada mas sabatello Nick
Obasan oh my knee aramis the cactus is behind the cat bus McComas no irony Szabo Tenga rimas
Capote Emma Nicole Vasa no Bushido knee Aramis the
book is close to the cat butts Nikko personage kakuni Tsonga rimas home
la Nokomis Anushka Cooney Aramis the cactus is on the cat bus Nokomis no
Lainey Sabu tanga además Capote Emma mokuba’s Nalini
Aramis that’s all there really is for this grammar so if this video helped you
please give it a like please share it with your classmates or someone else you
know who’s trying to learn this grammar feel free to ask me any questions down
below and good luck studying
